The 3rd Annual Radiothon for Headwaters will hit the airwaves this spring!
On Wednesday, April 10th from 6am until 6pm, on-air personalities will be live from the 46 Broadway location of Tim Hortons in Orangeville raising money for Headwaters Health Care Foundation’s annual campaign for priority medical equipment. All donations collected over that 12 hour period will go toward the $2 million annual fundraising goal to purchase leading edge equipment & technology. This event has raised over $30,000 since its inception in 2017.
These technological advancements will greatly improve Headwaters Health Care Centre’s (HHCC) ability to deliver healthcare excellence and hasten patient recovery. Nicole Hand, HHC Foundation’s Senior Development Manager, notes that this hospital truly is the heart of the community, providing high quality compassionate care for our loved ones. “Every day we see the impact donations have on patients and their families.” says Nicole. “We have a great hospital; but with the community’s help, we can be even better! The Radiothon offers an opportunity for the public to give back or honour a doctor, nurse or caregiver for the exceptional care they, a friend or family member have received”, offers Ms. Hand.
General Manager Rob Mise says 101.5 myFM Radio collaborates with HHCC year-round on this project. The Radiothon is a unifying day that reaches out to the whole community and highlights the efforts of hundreds of volunteers & staff who work tirelessly. “We are proud to be associated with such a terrific event”, adds Mr. Mise.
Throughout the day, 101.5myFM personalities will talk to patients, hospital staff, sponsors, and physicians on the important patient benefits that come from having up-to-date and cutting edge technology within our walls.
