This past holiday season, Headwaters Health Care Foundation successfully launched a matching gift campaign. The Galt Family Foundation set the bar at $180,000 - with the hope that the community would come together to match it. Dufferin-Caledon heard the call raising over $194,000 from November 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019!
Thanks to the Galt Family Foundation and the entire Dufferin- Caledon community a combined amount over $374,000 was raised to support priority equipment needs at Headwaters Health Care Centre! This far surpasses the Holiday Campaigns’ previous record total of $140,000 achieved in 2018.
Of course, Holiday Campaigns also depend on a great story, and the story told by 10-year old Vivienne resonated with Headwaters Health Care Foundation supporters. As Vivienne said in her letter, “I am so glad we have a hospital that cares about people.”
Dora Boylen-Pabst, Headwaters Health Care Foundation CEO, expressed “Thanks to our community, including the Galt Family Foundation, for the difference your support will make in the lives of our patients and their families. Thanks to you, new and replacement clinical equipment will be ordered and delivered to the Hospital in the coming weeks and months. We quite simply could not have done it without you.”
