Headwaters Health Care Foundation Launches
Smart Headwaters, an $18 Million Fundraising Campaign for State-of-the-Art MRI Machine, Dialysis and Vital Medical Technology
Orangeville, June 22, 2023 – Headwaters Health Care Foundation is proud to announce the launch of
Smart Headwaters, its transformative $18 million fundraising campaign, aimed at acquiring a cutting-edge MRI machine and other vital medical technology to enhance diagnostic capabilities and elevate patient care within the community. This ambitious campaign represents a major milestone for the hospital and its commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services to the residents of Dufferin-Caledon and the surrounding areas.
The centerpiece of
Smart Headwaters is the acquisition of a state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine. The new MRI technology will revolutionize medical imaging services at Headwaters Health Care Centre, allowing for more accurate and timely diagnoses, improved treatment planning, and enhanced patient outcomes.
Headwaters Health Care Centre has long been dedicated to delivering exceptional community health care, and this campaign aligns perfectly with that vision. With the new MRI machine, we will be able to provide our patients with advanced imaging services closer to home, reducing the need for long-distance travel and ensuring timely access to critical diagnostic information.

Kim Delahunt, CEO of Headwaters Health Care Centre, expressed her enthusiasm for the fundraising campaign, stating, "Exceptional community health care requires constant innovation and investment. The acquisition of the new MRI machine will strengthen our diagnostic capabilities and enable us to deliver timely, accurate, and compassionate care to our community, while our expanded dialysis unit and additional investments in medical technology will give our health care team the space and tools they need to provide the exceptional care they are capable of."
Dr. Grace Wang, Chief of Staff at Headwaters Health Care Centre, emphasized the importance of having MRI services readily available within the community, saying, "Access to advanced medical imaging services, such as MRI, plays a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions.
